LAVERDA 500 SPORT
This model was a british idea! Take one standard 500 alpino, fit a sport seat, small nose Cone fairing and clip ons ,you now have a sport model. That's just about all that can be Said about this bike,it was just a cheap makover to clear the showrooms of old stock Alpino's.It only came in red,and a plus point was that it was fitted with the same high Compression pistons as the Montjuic/Alpino s.

LAVERDA 350
The three fifty version of the Alpino was first shown late 1977.It was aimed more at the Italian home market due to Italy's VAT laws which penalized machines over 350cc. Although it was imported into Britain by Slater laverda in 1978, it's sales were very poor, Actual numbers brought into Britain were probably less than 25 machines. Identical to the 500 alpino, the only differences being the bore reduced from 72mm to 60mm,the stroke remained the same as the 500s (61mm). The cylinder head was a different casting with smaller combustion chambers and tiny valves. Another point worth mentioning Is the small bore exhaust down pipes running without the 500s balance pipe. Today it is a rare bike, especially a standard model in good condition, and now becoming collectable.
