500 Speciale

What was special about a Speciale?
Well nothing actually, it was a mk 2 montjuic with a paint job! In fact if you removed a little of the paint you would find an orange monty underneath!

The whole idea of this exercise was to get the remaining monty's moving off the shop floor. Laverda were in difficulties at this time and EEC noise and emissions had signed the death warrant on the montjuic forever…
Two versions were available, either silver or black. Personally i did not like the colour scheme of these models, looking very honda like.
